Vodafone Fiji 7s player Nemani Nagusa is carrying an injury and coach, Gareth Baber is now awaiting the final call on his condition before he names the team for the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s tournaments.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Baber says he is hoping to announce the team by tomorrow afternoon.
Vilimoni Koroi has been named in the All Blacks 7s team for the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s while Rocky Khan has missed out on selection due to injury.
Ambrose Curtis is also making a comeback to the side for the first time since 2015.
They have also retained senior players like Scott Curry, DJ Forbes, Sherwin Stowers and Tim Mikkelson.
Team coach, Scott Waldrom says in order for them to win the Las Vegas tournament they have to be consistent with their performance.
New Zealand has been pooled with Kenya, Russia and Argentina.
Meanwhile the Vodafone Fiji 7s team will be announced tomorrow.
Fiji is pooled with Japan, Australia and Scotland in the Las Vegas 7s.
The Las Vegas tournament will kick off next Saturday.
Fiji will take on Japan at 12.09pm next Saturday, we will take on Scotland at 3.08pm next Saturday while Fiji plays its final pool match against Australia at 9.50am next Sunday.
The Medal quarter finals start at 4.16pm next Sunday, the semis will be held at 9.44am Monday while the final will kick off at 1pm Monday.
