Ba wins their 19th CVC series after defeating Suva

The Ba soccer team has clinched their 19th Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion series after defeating Suva 2-1 in the second leg yesterday.

Josefata Neibuli opened the account for Ba through a long range short in the 18th minute of the first half while Avinesh Swamy scored in the 27th minute.

Ba led 2-0 at half time while Suva’s goal was scored by Shahil Dave through a late penalty in the second half.

Meanwhile, Ba coach Shalendra Lal who said Ba players did the hard yards which paid off today.

Lal has called on Ba fans to continue their support as they gear up for the OFC Champions League.

The Men in Black received $5, 000 prize money for winning the CVC title.
