The Ba soccer team will face Team Wellington in the semifinals of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League after they defeated AS Pirae 2-0 in the final group match last night.
National Under 20 striker Saula Waqa was the hero for the Men-in Black who scored both goals in the match.
In other matches played last night debutants FC Gaitcha of New Caledonia walloped Samoa’s Lupe Ole Soaga 8-1, at the ANZ Stadium Auckland City defeated Amicale FC 3-0 while Suva recorded their first win in the competition by beating Western United 3-1.
In the first semifinal on Tuesday at the ANZ Stadium FC Gaitcha will take on defending champions Auckland City FC at 3.30pm.
The second semifinal will see Ba FC of Fiji play the other first‑time semifinalists Team Wellington at 7pm.
The final will be played next Sunday at the ANZ Stadium.
