Ba soccer demands that Fiji FA stick to initial fixtures

The Ba soccer association has written to the Fiji Football Association stating that it will not play Labasa or Dreketi in the opening round of the Rewa Galaxy Premier League and is urging the Fiji FA to stick to the initial draw where Ba was supposed to play Lautoka.

Fijivillage has seen an official email where Ba soccer is demanding the Fiji FA to stick to the fixtures which was decided in a meeting on the 17th of this month.

Ba soccer has further stated that League Board Chairman Yogeshwar Singh should resign if he cannot stick to the initial draw.

Ba soccer has also stressed that the National League should be played throughout the season and not only for a few months.

Rewa Soccer President Nazil Buksh is supporting Ba in these two issues.

Buksh says it is unfair to make Ba travel to the North in the first round.

According to the initial fixtures Ba was supposed to play Lautoka, Rewa had to meet Suva, Labasa and Dreketi were scheduled to play in the North and Nadi had to face Nadroga.

When contacted, League Board Chairman Yogeshwar Singh said Ba soccer has no right to call for his resignation.

He says they are still deliberating on the fixtures with their sponsors.
