The Ba soccer team has made a strong statement at the Courts IDC tournament after they thrashed defending IDC champions Labasa 3-0 and defeated Rewa 2-1. Rewa won the Vodafone Fiji FACT and Inkk Mobile BOG titles this year.
Ba is the first team that has qualified for the semi-finals of the IDC.
Earlier in the year Ba soccer team President Rishi Kumar in an interview with Fijivillage had assured their die-hard fans that the team would make a strong comeback.
The team had struggled as they failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Vodafone Fiji FACT and Inkk Mobile BOG but some good performances in the last few games of the Vodafone Premier League saw the side finish second in the league.
Kumar had asked fans to keep faith in the young players as the results will come.
The side has players such as 17-year-old Kishan Sami and players in their early 20's like Junior Narendra Rao, Sitiveni Cavuilagi and Samuela Nabenia.
All these players have been very instrumental in the Men in Black’s quest to win their 25th IDC title.
