The Ba Football Association will wait for a correspondence from the Fiji Football Association and comment later on the issue where Fiji Soccer Head Coach Christophe Gamel has been cleared of any wrong doing.
When contacted, Ba FA said they have not received anything from Fiji FA.
Fiji FA’s President Rajesh Patel says Gamel has been cleared from allegations of assault by an independent committee which was tasked to look into the allegations.
Patel says Gamel will continue as the National Soccer Coach.
Renowned Ba soccer players who were part of the Fiji Under 23 trials had claimed earlier this year that they were allegedly assaulted by Gamel.
The Ba Football Association had sent an email to the Fiji FA on 17th of January this year, complaining that Under 23 players namely, Amena Bolaitamana, Kalaveti Sivoi, Kini Madigi and Simione Nabenu were ill‑treated (verbal abuse and slapped on the head numerous times) by Gamel.
Gamel had denied assaulting or abusing any players.
