Aussies to send strong teams for Oceania 7s

The Australian men’s and women’s Sevens teams are expected to send a strong team to compete at the Oceania 7s in Fiji next month.

After successfully defending the Central Coast 7s last weekend, they are expected to bring their core teams.

Australian Men’s coach Andy Friend has earlier stated that this tournament will be their build up towards the Dubai 7s in December.

The Oceania 7s will be held from the 11th to the 12th of next month at the ANZ Stadium.

There will be 10 teams in the men’s competition while there will be 7 teams in the women’s division.

The tournament will also serve as a qualifier for non‑core HSBC 7s men’s teams into the Wellington, Sydney and Hong Kong legs of the 2017 World Series.

Meanwhile the Fiji 7s extended squad has started their camp today at the Uprising Beach Resort.
