The Australian 7s team will be heading into the Glasgow and London 7s with a mission on finishing in the top four of the 2014/2015 World Sevens Series points table.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Australian coach Geraint John said he will announce his 12 players this Thursday and is hoping for an automatic Olympic Qualifying spot.
Australia is pooled with England, France and Russia in the Glasgow Sevens.
John said they are aiming to top their pool.
Australia is currently in fifth place with 91 points behind rivals England who have 100 points in fourth place after winning the Japan 7s.
South Africa is leading with 129 points, Fiji is second with 125 points while New Zealand is in third place with 120 points.
Meanwhile All Blacks 7s coach Gordon Tietjens will be announcing his 12 players for the next two legs today.
Fiji is pooled with host Scotland, Wales and Portugal.
They will face Wales at 11.42pm next Saturday. They take on Portugal at 2.48am next Sunday before taking on host Scotland at 6.21am.
The cup quarter finals will start at 10.28pm next Sunday, the semifinals will be at 1.58am on Monday the 11th while the final will be held at 5.20am Monday.
