Augustine has won the Marist Brothers High School interhouse with 2,413 points.
Lambert settled for second place with 2,368, Claudius came in third place with 2, 269 points while Alphonsus was fourth place with 1,962 points.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Marist Brothers High School Head of Physical Education Department Petero Qalituraga says they are impressed with the strength shown by their athletes yesterday and today.
He says in the long distance, Petero Veitaqomaki of Claudius house ran a time of 4mins 24secs in the senior boys 1,500m.
Veitaqomaki won gold in the intermediate boys 1500m at last year’s Coke Games and he will also be taking part in the 800m this year.
Qalituraga says that they are looking at another medal prospect in intermediate boys sprinter, Lasarusa Senibale of Augustine house who ran a time of 11.34secs in the 100m today.
Senibale who was previously in New Zealand on a rugby scholarship also took part in the intermediate boys 200m and 4x100m.
Meanwhile, Year 12 student Kaitu Kaitu who broke the record for the Junior Boys High Jump at last year’s Coke Games is today representing Alphonsus and has made a jump of 1.85m in the Intermediate Boys High Jump.
Kaitu says he hopes to better his jumps as he is also looking to break a record at the interhouse before shifting his focus to the Suva Zone 2.
