“Attitude is the number one priority when selecting the Vodafone Fiji 7s team.”
Those are the words of Fiji coach Ben Ryan as he gets ready to pick the players to prepare for the Hong Kong 7s.
When questioned by Fijivillage on who has been guaranteed a spot for Hong Kong, Ryan said he is resting the four key players including Semi Kunatani, Save Rawaca, Jerry Tuwai and Osea Kolinisau.
Ryan added that other players in the sevens squad should prove themselves this weekend.
He stressed the current eighteen man squad that went to Wellington and Las Vegas including Eminoni Nasilasila and Apisai Domolailai will be included in his squad to Hong Kong with five spots available.
Meanwhile Ryan will also keep a look out for some former national reps including Setefano Cakau, France based speedster Alipate Ratini, Apisai Naqaliva, Jone Vota, Leo Naikasau, Nasoni Roko, Maleli Bula and David Batiratu who are all in the Tabadamu side.
Samu Saqiwa and Pio Tuwai will feature for the Tokatoka Westfield Babas.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7's draws will be announced this afternoon and will be held this Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
