Around 22,000 fans watched the five-day Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Fiji Football Association’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says the fan base in the Southern Division has grown immensely they were surprised to see over 7,000 fans at Ratu Cakobau Park on Saturday to watch the two semi-finals.
Yusuf says they are now working to get close to 30,000 fans to the grounds in their five day tournaments’.
He says Ratu Cakobau Park will host a major soccer tournament every year and they have also booked the ground as an alternate venue for the semi-finals and final of the Inkk Mobile BOG next month.
Yusuf has also hinted that they may hold a semi-final at Subrail Park if Labasa qualifies for the semis of the BOG and the other semi-final can be held in the Southern Division.
The Inkk Mobile BOG pool draws will take place this Wednesday and the pool matches will be played from the 14th to 16th of next month at Subrail Park.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji FACT Champions, Rewa will face Labasa at 3pm this Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in the Vodafone Premier League.
Labasa will also play Suva at 7.30pm this Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
In two other matches on Sunday, Ba will play Rakiraki at Govind Park while Lautoka will face Dreketi at Churchill Park.
