Army speedster, Alosio Naduva has made it into the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side to take part in the Sydney and Hamilton 7s tournaments.
It is believed that Naduva can add a lot of pace into the team that has been an issue in the past few tournaments.
The side sees four changes to the team that played in Dubai and South Africa last year with Apisai Domolailai, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Vatemo Ravouvou and John Stewart missing out on selection. John Stewart and Vatemo Ravouvou have been stood down for disciplinary issues in Dubai.
The team is:
Mesulame Kunavula, Kalione Nasoko, Vasikali Mudu, Jasa Veremalua, Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Vakurinabili, Apete Daveta, Jerry Tuwai, Waisea Nacuqu, Alosio Naduva, Amenoni Nasilasila, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Eroni Sau.
Fiji coach, Gareth Baber believes he has selected a very strong team and is confident the team will do well in Sydney and Hamilton.
Fiji play their first game against Samoa at 8.28pm next Friday, then Russia in their second game at 5.09pm next Saturday before taking on New Zealand at 8.42pm next Saturday.
The quarterfinals will start at 12.28pm next Sunday, the semifinals are at 6.36pm while the final will kick off at 9.48pm.
