Wallabies great George Smith believed Fiji were an improving side with a knack of causing trouble at World Cups, often at the expense of Wales.
Smith, the flanker with 111 tests to his name, boldly predicts Australia, the Rugby Championship winners, and Fiji, the Pacific Nations Cup champions, will be the sides to make the playoffs.
He said anybody who underestimates Fiji will be in trouble.
He has known coach John McKee for a number of years and have been impressed in how he brings players together and manages them.
Smith is happily playing the Grim Reaper in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup, predicting heavyweights Wales and England won't qualify from the “pool of death”.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Flying Fijians will leave our shores next Monday to play Canada in a warm up match next week Sunday before taking on England at 7am on the 19th of next month in the opening Rugby World Cup match.
