Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association General Secretary Vuli Waqa has confirmed that all schools will be following the new qualification format to participate at the Coca-Cola Games next week.
The new format was introduced last year where athletes have to make a certain time, distance, height or metres to be able to qualify for the Coca-Cola Games.
Since the introduction of the new qualifying system, a huge number of records were broken and is expected to continue again this year.
This has improved the times and level of competition between the schools.
Waqa believes this format is fair for all schools.
Meanwhile, Burger King has given $7,000 to support the event.
The 2018 Coca-Cola Games will begin next Thursday and end next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
Natabua High School and Adi Cakobau School are the defending champions of the Coca-Cola Games.
