New Zealand Football expect to put up the "full house" sign at Westpac Stadium by the end of the weekend.
By this afternoon, more than 30,000 tickets had been sold for the first leg of the World Cup intercontinental playoff against Peru at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on November 11.
A sellout would see 38,000 fans attend the match, which would surpass the previous highest attendance for a football match in New Zealand of the 35,179 fans who watched the All Whites defeat Bahrain 1‑0 at Westpac Stadium in 2009 to make the 2010 World Cup.
Tickets have been snapped up in super quick time, with 20,000 sold inside the first hour of Tuesday's "pre‑sale" to fans on the New Zealand Football waitlist.
