All Blacks skipper Kieran Read says his side is ready to back up their performance against the Wallabies last week with another big effort as they seek to retain the Bledisloe Cup for the 14th year.
Another victory will see the trophy ‑ second only to the World Cup in terms of importance to the All Blacks and following a captain’s run in the rain, Read says his side is looking forward to setting a new standard.
When asked on what they needed to improve on, Read says their control of the ball needs to be a lot better.
Meanwhile Quade Cooper returns to the No. 10 jersey for the Wallabies, however Read says the selection of the controversial playmaker, criticized in the past for targeting former skipper Richie McCaw, wasn’t an issue.
The All Blacks play the Wallabies at 7.35 tonight while South Africa will clash with Argentina at 5.40am tomorrow.
