The All Blacks are focused on an improved start in the second Test against France, as they trial their World Cup strategies.
Although they thrashed France 52‑11 in the first Test, the damage was done with 44 unanswered points in the second half after the hosts turned at 11‑8 down.
The defending world champions captain, Sam Whitelock says looking at the first 50 minutes of their play last week, there were some big collisions and the key area is to improve is the star t.
Whitelock says if they go out there and start well, hopefully it will give them an opportunity to have a complete performance rather than waiting for later in the game like they did last week.
The All Blacks play France in their second test in Wellington at 7.35 tonight, Japan take on Italy at 8pm, while Australia face Ireland at 10pm.
Meanwhile England will play South Africa at 3.05am tomorrow,
Argentina will play Wales at 7.40am while USA will face Scotland at 1pm.
