As the Wellington 7s draws closer, the All Blacks 7s squad is yet to name their team for the second leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series.
A tournament which is being scheduled to take place this Saturday will be aimed at picking the best players for the tournament.
Sevens players from around New Zealand will be vying for a spot in either the All Blacks 7s or the Black Ferns 7s.
New All Blacks 7s Head Coach Clark Laidlaw confirms that both the teams will be named after the tournament this weekend.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Rugby General Manager Rugby Neil Sorensen says there is plenty at stake for players vying for selection as both coaches are looking to bring new talent into the teams.
Sorensen says that this is also a good time for the coaches to start building their teams for the Commonwealth Games in 2018 and the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
The Wellington 7s will be held on the 28th and the 29th of this month and New Zealand is pooled with USA, France and Samoa.
