Fiji born Greater Sydney Rams backrower Albert Tuisue turned his back on one dream to follow another.
Tuisue is in his second NRC season with the Rams and will come up against his fellow Fijians today in their match against the Fiji Airways Drua in the Australian National Rugby Championship.
The 24‑year‑old resigned from his job as a Fijian police officer to take a leap of faith with Shute Shield side, West Harbour and then, in turn, the Rams, after impressing in last year’s NRC.
Tuisue says he had a dream to become a police officer and had another dream, to become a professional player.
He says the momentum of the game in Fiji is not real fast but in Australia, it's quite fast.
The Rams and Drua will play off as part of Pasifika round this weekend and the match starts at 4pm today.
Tuisue will also be gathering with friends to celebrate Fiji Day, a day he looks forward to each year.
