The Athletics Fiji Games 2017 saw intense competition between Albert Miller Junior and John Sade in the 100 meters Decathlon and later in the Long Jump Event.
Albert Miller clocked a time of 10.9 seconds in the 100m event while John Sade clocked 11.2 Seconds.
In the long Jump event John Sade edged Miller to record a jump of 5.61m leaving Miller 0.09m behind Sade.
The two Athletes went on to compete in the Shot Put event and High Jump.
In another events, Vilisoni Rarasea grabbed gold in the Men’s 400m Hurdles Open Final clocking a time of 57.94 seconds while Sailosi Tubuilagi settled for Silver with a time of 66.35s.
Maia Ramsden took gold in the open womens 400m final, leaving Shamila Lata to settle for Silver.
In the open Mens 5000m final Kennol Narayan crossed the finishing line ahead of Rajeswar Prasad to win Gold.
Shiri Chand Mushroom then competed alone in the 5000m Masters Event.
The games continue at the ANZ Stadium.
