An airport drama has seen big Viliame Kikau left behind in New Zealand as the rest of his side travelled back to Australia on Sunday.
Kikau missed the Vodafone Fiji Bati’s training session today after being held up by visa issues in New Zealand.
It is understood he travelled to Wellington on an expired visa and was pulled up by authorities as the team attempted to leave for Brisbane for their Rugby League World Cup semi‑final against Australia.
Rugby League World Cup officials have worked hard for him to gain another visa, and he will rejoin the team on this afternoon.
