The absence of veteran forward Jasa Veremalua will only strengthen the other players to step up.
Veremalua who has been one of the key players in the Vodafone Fiji 7s team has confirmed that he wants to be with his wife when she gives birth to their first child.
This means that he will miss the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s.
The national side will go into camp again tomorrow as they have a few more days to impress coach Gareth Baber.
Baber was impressed with the new players performance and will name his final side at the end of this week.
Fiji is pooled with Japan, Australia and Scotland in the Las Vegas 7s.
The Las Vegas tournament will kick off next Saturday.
Fiji will take on Japan at 12.09pm next Saturday, we will take on Scotland at 3.08pm next Saturday while Fiji plays it’s final pool match against Australia at 9.50am next Sunday.
