One of Netball New Zealand's major sponsors, ANZ, has raised concerns about Maria Folau's support for her husband Israel Folau but the governing body is standing by its star player.
In a statement, ANZ the naming rights sponsor of the domestic premiership said it does not support "the views of Silver Fern Maria Folau" and has made its position known to Netball NZ but will continue with its support for the game in general.
Another sponsor, MYOB said in a statement that it had reminded Netball NZ that it expects it to share and express its "values of diversity, tolerance and inclusion" but took no position on Maria, even when pressed.
Netball NZ meanwhile maintained that Maria had not breached any of its policies in sharing her husband's plea for help funding his legal battle with Rugby Australia.
