Adi Cakobau School and Lelean Memorial School have successfully retained their titles at the Coca-Cola Tripple N Zone.
The girls from Sawani stamped their mark winning 40 gold, 23 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Lomaivuna High School came second with 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze and third was Wainimala High School with 1 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze.
Boys Division champions Lelean Memorial School bagged 21 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze.
In second place was Sila Central High School with 8 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze and third was Naitasiri High School with 4 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze.
Maximus Lestro of Lelean Memorial School broke the Junior Boys Discus Triple N Zone record with a throw of 51.35 metres while the old record was 35.4 metres which was set last year.
The 16‑year‑old also won gold and broke the record in the Junior Boys Javelin with a throw of 45.85m smashing the old record of 41.38m.
The year 11 student said his hardwork is paying off after having to travel from Nausori to Suva every afternoon for training.
Lestro says his aim is to break the national record.
A total of seven records were been broken at the Triple N Zone.
Adi Cakobau School’s Adi Senimili Vakanino broke the Intermediate Long Jump record with a jump of 4.85 metres.
The old record was 4.71 metres which was set in 2016.
Another record was set by Asinate Kasawaqa of ACS in the Senior Girls Long Jump with a jump of 5.02 metres.
The old record was 4.33 metres which was set in 2016.
The other record was set by Lydia Stevens of Lelean Memorial School in the Junior Girls High Jump with the jump of 1.40 metres while the old record was 1.32 metres which was set by Merewarita Udre in 2015.
