The six weeks preparation in Fiji is done and a lot has been said about the Vodafone Flying Fijians chances of making it out from the “Pool of Death” in the Rugby World Cup next month.
For Flying Fijians coach John McKee, it’s all about focusing on each game and making sure the players give their absolute best against the Tier 1 nations in Pool A.
McKee said the talent and the class of players that Fiji have had has been really used well by the team of coaches that he managed to assemble this year.
Yesterday the Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou has also assured the members of the parliament that the government is ready to assist the national side if they secure a spot in the quarter finals.
McKee said he was happy with the work that former Bulls coach Frans Ludeke, Crusaders Assistant coach Tabai Matson and scrum coach Allen Muir have put in for the team.
All the Suva based players will depart from GPH at 2.30pm tomorrow for Novotel in Nadi.
The team will then depart Nadi at 9.30am next Monday for the United Kingdom.
Fiji will play a warm up match against Canada on the 6th of next month before taking on England at 7am in the World Cup opening match on the 19th of next month.
Meanwhile, England coach Stuart Lancaster has been criticised over his squad selection, in particular the inclusion of rugby league convert Sam Burgess and omission of Danny Cipriani.
Sportsmail gets the views of experts from the countries that will be England's key competition for the Webb Ellis Cup, including Wales, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, France and, of course, the defending champions New Zealand.
Lancaster’s squad has a scarcity of world class players, a lack of pace in its back row and it’s still unclear what is his best team.
