World Sevens Series top referee Rasta Rasivhenge says that a lot of teams are still struggling with the new tackle laws after the Dubai and Cape Town 7s.
Rasivhenge is in the country to officiate at the Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s which kicks off today at Lawaqa Park with the Youth Uprising 7s.
He believes that referees around the world and World Rugby are in full force to teach all teams about the new law and teams need to practice more so they can get better.
When asked about the level of pressure he gets when refereeing a game which involves top teams such as Fiji, New Zealand, South Africa and England, Rasivhenge says he has managed to handle a lot of pressure and reduce error and non decision making.
He says that referees cannot see everything on the field which is one of the challenging parts of his work.
Meanwhile the new rugby laws will be followed at today’s Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s.

The prize money will see $20,000 for the winner of the Men’s and Women’s competitions while $10,000 will be given to the winner of the Youth 7s.
