7s teams’ preparation underway for World 7s Series

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team and the Telecom Fijiana team have already started preparing for the upcoming 2015/2016 World Sevens Series which will start with the Dubai 7s on the 5th and 6th of December.

Coach Ben Ryan yesterday took both teams through some intense training at the Uprising Beach Resort ground and a hard session at the sand dunes in Sigatoka this morning.

Ryan said with the Rio Olympics to be held next year and less than two months to go for the first leg, he will make sure their fitness is maintained.

Some of the players that are in the training squad are Captain Osea Kolinisau, Isake Katonibau, Jerry Tuwai, Pio Tuwai, Emosi Mulevoro, Sitiveni Waqa, Vatemo Ravouvou, Apisai Domolailai, Kitione Taliga, Savenaca Rawaca, Abele Yalayalatabua and Waisea Nacuqu.

Ryan and Chris Cracknell have been working with the Men’s and Women’s teams ahead of the next World Sevens Series.

The Dubai 7s will be held from the 5th to the 6th of December.
