5 players nominated for Vodafone and Fiji FA Popular Player of the Year 2016

The Fiji Football Association has nominated five players for the Vodafone and Fiji FA Popular Player of the Year 2016.

Ba’s Saula Waqa, Lautoka’s Mohammed Shazil, Suva’s Setareki Hughes, Labasa’s Ratu Anare and Rewa’s Tevita Waranivalu have been nominated.

All these players had outstanding seasons with their respective districts last season.

The general public will have to vote for their favorite player and the award will be presented at the Fiji FA Awards Night to be held on March 18th.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Premier League match between Labasa and Dreketi has been called off due to unplayable conditions at Subrail Park.

Only two matches will be played this Sunday where Suva will host Nadi and Rewa will play Rakiraki at 3pm.
