Five former national 7s players are back in contention for a spot in the Vodafone Fiji 7s team to the opening leg of the IRB World 7s Series later this year.
This comes after Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan named his 40 member training squad which saw the return of Aisake Katonibau, Ilai Tinai, Emosi Vucago, Sikeli Vuruna and Nasoni Roko.
Katonibau has been recalled after serving his two-year suspension from all levels of rugby.
Katonibau was suspended for a doping offence after failing to comply with a request to provide a sample for a dope test during the IRB World 7s Series in 2012.
Former playmaker Ilai Tinai who was dropped from the team last year for indiscipline has been given another chance to redeem himself.
Meanwhile, other key players that have been retained include Pio Tuwai, Osea Kolinisau, Emosi Mulevoro, Waisea Nacuqu, Semi Kunatani, Setefano Cakau and Samu Saqiwa.
The 40 member squad will have their first fitness test next Tuesday.
