3 players with links to Fiji are being considered for the NRL Rookie of the Year award.
They are Melbourne Storm wing Suliasi Vunivalu who has scored 23 tries in his debut season as well as Daniel and Jacob Saifiti who play for the Newcastle Knights.
The 2016 NRL season saw a bunch of rookies emerge as genuine stars of the future.
These young players not only stepped up, they outperformed established stars to stamp their mark on the game.
Previous winners of the Rookie of the Year award include Jack Bird, Luke Brooks, George Burgess and Adam Reynolds.
The Storm will host the Sharks at 8.15pm Sunday in the NRL Grand Final.
