The 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championship is currently underway at the Damodar Aquatic Centre with the 200 metres free style preliminaries.
Fijian swimmers that will be in action during the 200 metres free style preliminary include Rosemarie Rova, Evitah Yee, Joan McGowan, Aimee Elaisa, Calum Lobendahn, James Kado, Mosese Bobi, Rhys Cheer and Wilson Erasito.
While speaking at the opening last night, Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports, Iliesa Delana encouraged parents to introduce their children to swimming as it is one of the most popular sports around the world and is also a life saving skill.
36 swimmers from Fiji will take part in the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championship. 250 swimmers from 11 countries including USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are taking part in the championship.
