Sixteen teams have confirmed their places in the cup eliminations of the Fiji Womens Crisis Center Martintar 7s today.
Defending champions Wardens Gold remain unbeaten alongside Tabadamu, Yasawa, Saunaka, Tokatoka Westfield, First Light Taveuni One, Police, Kaji Tam Kavi, Taveuni and the Can Do Generations 7s team.
The cup eliminations will see Wardens Gold taking on Newborn Waibasaga, Tabadamu will face First Light Taveuni Two, Yasawa against Nawaka White, MacDonalds Saunaka to face Dratabu Green, Tokatoka Westfield against Nasonini Babas, First Light Taveuni One versus Navunisareki, Police will face Can Do Generation while Kaji Tam Kavi will play Taveuni.
The main cup eliminations are currently underway where Taveuni is currently playing Kaji Solevu.
Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber was watching the tournament yesterday and will be keeping a look out for some new talents today.
Looking at some of the results of the matches played earlier this morning, Warden Gold 5-0 New Born Waibasaga, Tabadamu beat First Light Taveuni Two 29-12, Yasawa have also beaten Nawaka White 7-5.
McDonalds Saunaka defeated Dratabu Green 17-12, Tokatoka Westfield beat Nasonini Babas 26-12, First Light Taveuni One beat Navunisareki 17-7 while Police defeated Can Do Generation 10-7.
The winner of the Martintar 7s will walk away with $5,000 while the runner-up will get $2,000.
The Martintar 7s is currently being held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
