16 Youth teams from around the country will kick start the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s today at 10am.
Tournament Director Jay Whyte says that the battle between the youth teams will be intense as defending champion, Tuva Youth have provided the challenge saying that they will defend the title for the third year in a row.
Whyte says that there is an electric atmosphere in Sigatoka this morning as they prepare to kick off the Coral Coast 7's.
He adds that tournament ambassador Bryan Habana will deliver his speech this morning following a march from Lawaqa Park to Sigatoka town where Habana will unveil his Walk of Fame plaque infront of the Sigatoka River Safari.
Other legendary rugby players who have previously unveiled their Walk of Fame plaques include, Jonah Lomu, David Campese, Waisale Serevi, George Gregan, Lote Tuqiri, Viliame Satala, Karl Tenana, DJ Forbes and now Bryan Habana
Youth defending champion Tuva Youth will take on Saunivalu Youth in the tournament opener this morning at 10am.
The Coral Coast 7s will be held from today to Saturday with the Men’s competition to be held on Friday and Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
