The Team Fiji to the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu has been encouraged to follow the path of the Vodafone Fiji Bati by President Jioji Konrote.
They presented their i-tatau to President, Jioji Konrote at Boron House in Suva today.
Konrote says Fiji has reached a milestone in sporting activities and a better example could be that of the Fiji Bati’s achievements at the Rugby League World Cup.
Konrote stressed that after defeating New Zealand in the quarter final last week we have proven that we are qualified for top sports.
He says the Bati’s achievements should be an inspiration we should all be proud of.
Fiji will be represented in 13 sports by 201 athletes and officials.
The Pacific Mini Games will start on the 4th of next month and will finish on the 15th.
Team Fiji will leave for Vanuatu on the 1st of next month.
