i-Taukei Affairs Board and National Archives work to preserve VKB

The i-Taukei Affairs Board is working in partnership with the National Archives of Fiji to preserve the Vola Ni Kawa Bula or VKB.

This will see the National Archives of Fiji carry out scientific archival conservation works on the Vola Ni Kawa Bula records to ensure their long term preservation and continued accessibility for the i-Taukei people.

Principal Administration Officer of the i-Taukei Affairs Board, Tevita Cokanasiga says these records enable the i-Taukei Affairs Board to carry out other vital work to safeguard the welfare of the indigenous people.

Cokanasiga says with these records we are able solve land conflicts, decide on customary title disputes, proceed in the orderly filling of vacant chiefly posts and support sustainable development in villages.
