The OneFiji Party will implement a zero-rate tax on educational material including textbooks and computers for full time students.
OneFiji Party leader, Filimoni Vosarogo said they will get the funds to implement their education policies from the National Budget if they join a coalition government.
He said finding the money to fund policies is not an issue as their party strives for quality.
The OneFiji Party will also provide standardized accommodation to all tertiary students who need accommodation.
Vosarogo said they will convert the Raiwai PRB flats into tertiary students’ accommodation at prescribed rentals.
Vosarogo said they will ensure that accommodation will be made affordable, safe and clean.
He said they will ensure that there is no political interference in Tertiary institutions.
Vosarogo added the OneFiji Party will reintroduce external examinations to complement course work but they will ensure that it is set according to international standards.
