Youths in the Northern Division will be able to get opportunity to engage directly with Non-Government Organisations and Civil Society Organisations and learn more about how to access justice and human rights.
European Union, through the Fiji Access to Justice project Implementation by the United Nations Development Program has fully financed the National Human Rights Commission Dialogue with NGOs, CSOs and youths that will be held next week in Labasa and Savusavu.
EU Press & Information Officer Nazeem Kasim says that EU and UNDP has supported with $19 million for this program.
Kasim says that this dialogue will also provide the Human Rights and Anti‑Discrimination Commission to explore potential initiatives to strengthen engagement and collaboration with different organisations.
Kasim stresses that the program is designed to enhance the justice system in Fiji and provide more access for underprivileged and vulnerable groups such as Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Intersex groups.
The program will be held at the Friendly North Hotel in Labasa from next Wednesday and the dialogue will start at Hot Springs Hotel in Savusavu next Thursday.
