Many young performers were in the spotlight at the first “Plugged In” concert at International School Suva last night.
Amongst last night’s vocalists was Alfred Tamanalevu who is a Form 6 student of Suva Grammar School.
Tamanalevu laughed as he said he has come to accept being widely called “Knox’s younger brother”.
Tamanalevu added that when he did a cover of his brother’s song “Jah Love”, Knox had helped him out.
Another star performer was Aaron Ram, the 17-year-old drummer of the Rishikul Sanatan College choir.
Ram said he was encouraged by how one of the judges found his drumming skills amazing.
Meanwhile, rehearsal sessions will continue at the schools today as the competition heats up for the 2013 “Plugged In” finals at International School Suva at 6pm tomorrow.
