Delainamasi Government School has confirmed that a Year 3 teacher has finally been assigned to the school by the Ministry of Education.

The Deputy Secretary for Education Timoci Bure had earlier confirmed to Fijivillage that they will be able to get a teacher for a Year 3 class in Delainamasi Government School by this afternoon.

Bure has also confirmed that he has had discussions with the Ministry of Education Director Human Resources with regards to the issue.

Concerns were raised to Fijivillage by parents of Delainamasi Government School as there was no teacher for a Year 3 class from day one of school this year.

The school had also confirmed this as they are still waiting for an assigned teacher from the Ministry of Education.

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association Vice President Moiz Altaf says that they are very concerned to see their children go to school, and not do anything throughout the day because there is no teacher.

Altaf says they have brought in a retired teacher to teach the students of the Year 3 class that does not have a teacher.

He says that they have already spoken to the Ministry and they have confirmed that they are trying to get a relieving teacher for the Eastern Division.
