The Year 10 provisional results will be released to schools today and will be available to the students from 8am this morning.
Students and parents can get their results online on the Government website www.examresults.gov.fj or from their respective schools and District Offices.
The overall pass in English and best five subjects is 45% compared to 42% last year.
The Ministry of Education says the highest percentage pass is in English which is 60% while Mathematics is 34%, Basic Science is 45%, Social Science has a percentage pass of 42% while Commercial Studies had a pass rate of 38%.
Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy acknowledged the effort and hard work put in by all the students.
He says this is due to Cyclone Winston as many of the students, teachers and school infrastructure were severely affected and he takes this opportunity to thank all in the cyclone ravaged zones for their continued commitment.
Dr Reddy says he urges all children to be proud of their results and see what they need to plan upon for their future.
He says they urge students who have an aptitude or interest in technical area to enroll at one of the Technical College Campuses and pursue Certificate II level studies in any of the trade area.
14,519 students sat for the Year 10 external examination this year.
