The World Bank will open its first regional office at the new FNPF building in Suva within the next few months.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says by May next year, the World Bank will have 25 staff and 15 staff will come from Sydney.
Sayed-Khaiyum says this enhances the hub status of Fiji and enhances the financial capacity of the country as a premier destination for international organisations to be based in Fiji.
