Job availability, access to information and knowing how to use that information to find employment, capacity building and involving youths in decision making are a few challenges faced by our youths nowadays.
This was highlighted by Hilda Vukikomoala, a Volunteer for Pacific Youth Council and Pacific Youth Forum Against Corruption during the Professionalizing Youth Work in the Pacific Workshop in Laucala.
She says through this workshop they are hoping to create and establish a qualification for youth workers as most of them are on voluntary basis and people need to be seeing them as professionals or experts.
Meanwhile, Vukikomoala also says the International Labour Organization is also working on how to create more work to be available for the youth population as well as good working conditions for our youths.
