Construction work on the new 80 bed Nausori Hospital will start in September.
The new hospital will be built on Vunivivi Hill near Nausori town.
Ministry of Health’s Asset and Management Department said the tender will be called in early September and the construction work will start as soon the contract is awarded to a contractor.
The department said the new hospital will have a General Out Patient Section, 2 Operation Theaters, X-ray Department, Dental Services and Laboratories.
According to the department this will make things easier as some patients go to the Wainibokasi Hospital for checkup.
The work on the new hospital is expected to be complete by early 2017.
