Fijian Holdings Limited confirms that preliminary work on the site of the 17 storey FHL Tower in Gordon Street, Suva is expected to commence next Monday with the groundbreaking ceremony to be held later this month.
FHL Chief Executive Nouzab Fareed says all construction works are expected to be completed by 2021.
The new FHL Tower will be located opposite the current FHL building, Ra Marama House.
Once completed, the $65 million FHL Tower will be an iconic addition to the city of Suva providing premium tenancy experience to the greater business community.
Two to three diplomatic missions and other international agencies are expected to occupy the new office space.
Fareed says that the project is undertaken by an international contractor and is managed by well qualified and experienced Project Managers ensuring that all the necessary OHS and public safety requirements are met during the construction period.
He says the FHL Tower project started in 2015 going through rigorous due diligence and planning phases before finally deciding on the design and built concept.
Fareed says the building is expected to be iconic and represent FHL, the flagship of i-Taukei business.
