The Fiji National Women’s Expo received a major boost today with a $50,000 sponsorship from the Westpac Banking Corporation.
Minister for Women, Rosy Akbar formalized the sponsorship agreement this morning with the Westpac Fiji General Manager, Adrian Hughes.
As part of the agreement, Westpac will also be providing financial literacy training to more than 2000 women from 600 women’s groups around the country.
The second Fiji National Women’s Expo will feature women from all around the country with their traditional craft, exotic food, art, contemporary fashion and innovative hardware.
The government has dedicated a budget of $500,000 for the National Women’s Expo this year.
448 women’s groups participated in the 2014 Fiji National Women’s Expo.
It raked in $133,152 with the Eastern Division earning the highest revenue.
It will be held from the 14th to the 16th of next month at the Vodafone Arena.
