The woman who allegedly caused the death of her 4-year-old daughter last month has been referred to Saint Giles Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Rozleen Razia Khan appeared before High Court Judge Justice Vinsent Perera today.
Her lawyer Lice Manulevu made the request today saying that Khan had told her that she was in a state of depression when the alleged incident occurred.
Justice Perera has ordered Khan's psychiatric evaluation to be done in 14 days.
The case will be called on the 12th of June to assess the outcome of the evaluation.
Khan allegedly tied herself up with her 4-year-old daughter and drove their car off the road into Rewa River on the 6th of this month.
She allegedly drove the car into the river in Kasavu after leaving their home in Vuci South Road. Khan and her daughter were taken to the Nausori Hospital where the 4-year-old girl was pronounced dead.
