A case regarding a woman visiting places in the Western Division claiming to be working for the iTaukei Land Trust Board has been reported to FICAC.
TLTB has revealed that a person by the name of Nazo
recently visited residents of Tavakubu Settlement and Kashmir in Lautoka and allegedly requested them to fill in TLTB lease application forms and pay her a fee of $57.50 to lease iTaukei land.
The FICAC Lautoka Office is investigating the matter.
TLTB says all of their officers going onto the field carry identification cards and that all lease applications and land dealings on iTaukei land must involve TLTB.
It also says all payments should be made with any TLTB cashier and official TLTB receipts must be issued for any payments made.
