A woman charged with corruption related offences has been granted bail by the Suva Magistrates Court.
The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption has charged an Estate Officer of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation, Melaia Senimolau with 16 counts of obtaining a financial advantage.
It is alleged that on 16 separate occasions, Senilomau provided false Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Receipts and false Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Bill of Cost’s as receipts to obtain a financial advantage of $18,929.50 between March 2015 and January 2017.
Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili has released her on bail after two sureties were produced and strict bail conditions were imposed.
A stop departure order has also been issued and the matter has been adjourned to 4 April 2018 for Plea.
