A 22-year-old woman has been charged with 9 counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception for her alleged involvement in an online scam.
She was produced at the Suva Magistrates Court where she was further remanded in Police custody.
Police said they received complaints regarding Vakaviti Fashions, an online shopping account which the accused ran on Facebook.
Reports are being received from the Western and Northern Division where people have made deposits of money but have allegedly failed to receive their goods.
Police are also requesting members of the public to be cautious about whom they deal with on social networking sites.
The case will be called again on the 7th January 2015.
