Woman allegedly murdered in Lautoka

A woman believed to be in her 70s was allegedly murdered and her home was discovered ransacked on Friday night.

A neighbour discovered the woman's body at about 10.30pm in her Rifle Range home in Lautoka.

As investigators work to establish the motive and locate the suspect, the Fiji Police is appalled and angered by the cowardly act by someone who purposely targeted an elderly woman while she was in the comfort of her own home.

All efforts are being made to arrest the person or persons responsible.
